Welcome!

Here we go, the first post! My goal in this blog is to post a picture that I have taken, every day. The picture won't always have been taken on that specific day - if I aim for that, I think I'm setting myself up for failure right from the start! Some days I just won't have the time or inclination to take any pictures, but I have a lot of interesting shots from the past that I can share with you.

Without further ado, picture 1!

This one comes from a photography class I've been taking. The assignment was to photograph the images evoked by a poem. The line I was trying to capture here says "More than all these, ah yes,/More than all these". Like grains of rice, or sand. I love how sharp some of these grains are in the center. I really feel like my macro skills are coming along quite well - now to work on the lighting skills to go with it!
